Welcome to the RTVF 100 Web site!

Taking this course to study and learn about radio, television, film, and the entire telecommunications field shows you have an interest in the industry.  Whether this is a course you're taking for curiosity, fulfilling a requirement, or planning on a career, you will find the information included in this course to be interesting, stimulating, and it will give you an incredible insight into how the communications industry works.

Of all the media, television is the most persuasive.  It has most of the senses...sight, sound, motion, color, and depth perception.  It influences our lives on a daily basis, either directly or indirectly.  Individual attitudes, societies, and cultures can and do change behavior because of this influence.  Throughout this course, television will be the focus because it is the catalyst for all other electronic media with emphasis on the convergence of multimedia systems.  However, the Internet and use of computers to search for information, make personal contacts, and shop for products and services is making inroads as the 'primary' source of media information for many people.

This Web site is a terrific way to access the information you need about this class, in addition to serving as an educational resource.  You will find download links for the Syllabus, Assignments, other Web sites, and a Grade Report to chart your ongoing progress.  Whether you're currently enrolled,  planning to enroll, or just curious about what is being offered, you're sure to find a wealth of helpful information.
